after a long long hiatus, I've finally overcome the inertia to blog that I experience everytime I come online...
Well I'm glad to say ever since my last entry, I've experienced many things--enough to fill an entire blog entry at least.. they're little things but they have this accumulative effect on me and my 'wisdom'.. harhar..
the china trip. basically, 5 descriptions sum it all up..
1. Toilets are smelt before they are seen.
2. Nice scenery with lots of mountains (nice workout everyday, no doubt)
3. Nice and not-too-cold weather (though it's definitely not a good idea to wear a T-shirt & a normal jacket on a river boat-ride, as I've learnt--the hard way)
4. Nice, small and cosy tour group with wonderful people (only 13 people!)
5. Clothes are cheap and pretty (I bought like crazy)
Yep, that's about it.. Had lots of fun.. especially the shopping part.. However, despite the large amount of climbing (up stairs and mountains), I'm sad to say I haven't lost any weight.. even though I tried to eat as little as possible..
the 409 outing. was a great blading day and I had a really wonderful time catching up with old friends who seem to have gone far, far away but who, I realised, have always been very much by my side.. me, being my usual accident prone self, had gotten 'injured' before I even started blading.. yep got a rather deep cut on my finger while putting my blades on.. then before I could even stand up straight, I fell. but well thanks to woonli, I didn't have to spend the rest of the day in the blade shop.. then fell again at the step (I tried to go down the step as if walking).. then jerms obviously realised woonli was gonna have a hard time with someone who's fallen twice and is not even out of the blade shop yet.. so jerms came to help.. and down the slope out of the shop, jerms tried to hold on to me and stop me from falling but I ended up pulling her down with me.. (I'm still feeling very sorry about it.. sorry jerms!) so yep yep I fell 3 times trying to get out of the shop.. but well, with woonli and jerms taking turns trying to teach me, I managed to move around without having to grab onto stuff.. but still fell many more times.. and always on my butt although I keep trying to fall forwards.. it's a torture to sit these few days..
But well, I really realised something.. that without these friends, I wouldn't be able to get up everytime I fall (both literally and in the figure-of-speech way).. they're kind of like angels watching over me and coming to my aid when I'm in need.. though they may not always be there to hold my hand or catch me when I'm about to fall, they'll help me get back onto my feet when I do fall.. Makes me feel touched and really fortunate..
So although I fell like over 10 times that day (yes all on my butt) and went home aching all over, I went home feeling truly happy..
I'd like to say this, to all my friends.. Thank you!
We all stop.
Qi'En, just me.
